The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) is a professional society of more than 6,000 foot and ankle surgeons. Founded in 1942, ACFAS seeks to promote the art and science of foot and ankle surgery, address the issues and concerns of the foot and ankle surgeon, and advance and improve standards of education and surgical skill. It publishes The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Clinical Practice Guidelines related to foot and ankle surgery. It also publishes newsletters and monograms related to foot and ankle surgery.
